In a world awash with mass-produced accessories London Bird delivers what only a small independent brand can; hand-made, exclusive, wearable art. Miranda McCarthy belongs to that select group of self-taught jewellery designers whose work is in high-demand by the luxury sector. Miranda's beautiful over-sized pieces have been crafted using ground-breaking techniques, including a new plating process that adds colour to pure silver, giving her designs their signature depth and a modern aesthetic. Whilst retaining their huge impact every piece of London Bird fine jewellery is customized to be light and easy to wear. London Bird's fine jewellery is individually hand-made in .925 silver or 18ct. gold. The marriage of modern production techniques and traditional craftsmanship has given Miranda the capability to create 3D, large-scale, yet lightweight pieces the next era in fine jewellery design. London Bird's collections are directly inspired from Londons iconic monuments including the Lloyds building, its urban elements, and even the Thames. "London is an endless source of inspiration to me. The details of the city are vast and varied. I am always looking for my next design and I am usually surprised by where it comes from!" Their stunning architectural style is rivaled only by the wonderful sensation of wearing them. The precious metals conductivity means that the pieces feel soothingly warm and their light weight design makes all London Birds pieces ultimately wearable.
